Laszlo Moholy-Nagy Color in Transparency: Photographic Experiments in Color/Fotografische Experimente in Farbe 1934-1946, 2006
This book, which won an award at the 2008 Arles Photo Fair, was edited by Jeannine Fiedler and Hattula Moholy-Nagy on the occasion of an exhibition of 55 enlargements of Moholy-Nagy’s color transparencies held at the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin in 2006. The book is illustrated with one hundred of Moholy-Nagy’s rarely seen color photographs and includes a biography of Moholy-Nagy and references. The descriptions of the works are by Jeannine Fiedler and published in German and English.

The only complete, English-language biography of Moholy-Nagy, written by the art historian, Lloyd C. Engelbrecht. This two-volume work covers the details of Moholy-Nagy’s life and work from his birth in Hungary to his death in Chicago. The printed book includes several appendices, a general index, and a chronological index. The DVD, which accompanies the book, includes hundreds of images, as well as film clips, rare recordings of Moholy-Nagy’s voice, and a detailed bibliography. It will become the standard reference for Moholy-Nagy.
